The Rocky Mountain House RCMP is warning residents about fraudulent text messages claiming health cards are no longer valid and asking recipients to complete an online application to receive a replacement.
These messages are scams designed to collect personal information. Government agencies will not send unsolicited texts asking you to provide personal, financial, or health information through a link.
Stay alert:
 Don’t click on links in unexpected text messages
 Don’t share personal or banking information
 Verify information directly through official government websites or phone numbers
 Delete suspicious messages and report concerns to your local police service
