Register for the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan

All new and returning eligible Alberta residents must register for the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) coverage to receive insured hospital and physician services.

For 25 years, our patients have come not only from Drumheller, but Airdrie, Brooks, Hanna, Stettler and all the communities in between and many beyond.

We have specialists in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery and our physicians provide anesthesia services as well. We work as a team with a variety of health care professionals to give our patients the care they need to lead healthy, productive, pain free lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

As the privacy of our patients is of great importance, test results are not available online. Test results often require a doctor's interpretation and explanation, therefore you should book an appointment with your doctor to review your results in person.
Yes. With the exception of Quebec, we can direct bill to your home province. Residents of Quebec and countries other than Canada will be required to pay for their visit in advance and claim for reimbursement from their home plan.
If you do not have insurance, you can pay for your visit with cash, credit card or Interac. We strongly encourage Alberta residents to apply for coverage through the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan at www.health.alberta.ca/health-care-insurance-plan.html.
In order to protect patient privacy, a request form needs to be signed by the patient or their approved representative. Due to intense labor involved in reproducing charts, a fee will be charged in the amount of $25.00 for the first 20 pages, then $0.25 per to a maximum of $200.00. (per A.M.A. guidelines) You will be notified to come in and pick up the copies when they are ready. Please be aware that due to current volume, wait times will be in excess of 30 days.
