About Me

Dr Blackburn opened his practice in Drumheller in 2017 after working in South Africa. He prides himself as a motivated, hard-working individual. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with honors and has since worked in family practice and emergency medicine.  Since being admitted as a member of the health profession, he has endeavoured to equip himself with the knowledge and practical skills required to be an outstanding doctor.

He is a family physician with an interest in emergency medicine, family medicine, sports medicine, orthopaedics and general surgery. He is currently building a practice with the aim of holistic patient centred care.

He is happily married and is enjoying settling into Drumheller and getting involved in the community. He has a passion for wildlife, sport, travel and fly-fishing. Outside of work, one of his favourite things to do is go for an evening run in the Badlands.
